About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist of Marketing Planning to support the strategic and day-to-day management of our marketing investments across multiple channels, countries, and brands. This role will report to the Director of Marketing Planning.

You’ll be responsible for assisting with strategic budgeting and planning efforts which include acquisition, retention, and brand efforts across various channels. The goal of this position is to maximize ROAS by allocating spend in the most efficient and effective way across our program, as well as finding ways to improve and automate channel reporting to drive actionable insights. This role will work closely with Analytics, Data Science, Finance, and Marketing to accurately report on business and channel performance, optimize marketing budgets, manage forecasting, and provide insights to help drive decision-making and hitting of performance goals. You’ll have a direct impact on optimizing a significant marketing budget and help drive long-term growth. The ideal candidate is well-versed in B2C and B2B marketing programs, especially digital marketing, performance-oriented channels and is comfortable with large-scale budgets.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Enable budgeting and strategic planning processes within the marketing department, including partnering with leadership and stakeholders to best calibrate efforts for our stated business goals and targets.

  • Develop performance read-outs and support building leadership presentations around performance.

  • Day-to-day performance management reporting (includes maintaining and improving current models, as long as proposing new ones) and daily support across channel teams, which includes analyzing channel results and providing recommendations for incremental spend, reallocation, or reduction.

  • Build ad-hoc analysis and actionable insights on performance trends and gainers/drainers of performance.

  • Identify optimization opportunities across the full funnel to optimize the efficiency of the program. Includes identifying opportunities of growth through category, country & channel expansion as well as elevating our performance reporting models.

  • Leverage AI tools to enable advanced reporting & insight generation.

  • Partner with Analytics, Data Science and Finance to build accurate forecasting & bidding models that enable scenario planning and accurate tracking into the marketing P&L.

  • Guide learning agendas and testing & experimentation initiatives to help align impact from pre-planning to post-result stages and appropriately layer into forecasting and performance tracking.

  • Work with Analytics to establish key requirements for marketing reporting dashboards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a strong understanding of major performance marketing channels, analytics, and finance.

  • Experience with accurately establishing forecasts and influencing decision-makers based on trends.

  • Strong Excel modeling skills and competence with business intelligence and analytics tools, including various marketing & advertising platforms, web analytics tools, forecasting tools, and reporting & dashboarding tools. But also curious to learn & test new AI tools.

  • Advanced data skills (e.g. SQL, Python) preferred.

  • Experience working in a return on ad spend (ROAS) and LTV:CAC performance marketing framework, including various attribution models and media mix modeling.

  • Experience with Lifecycle strategies including acquisition, retention, and customer cohort modeling as well as email marketing reporting.

  • Experience managing marketing budgets in a marketplace or lead generation business model.

  • Excellent business acumen, communication skills and storytelling ability that is fact-based, insight-rich, comprehensive, and solution-oriented – ultimately well distilled and tailored to the audience (executive-level, cross-functional, within marketing, etc).
