Are you a proactive problem-solver with a passion for delivering exceptional customer support? Avant is seeking an Avant Card Dispute Specialist to join our dynamic Fraud Operations team. In this pivotal role, you'll support credit card disputes and fraud claims, support the back-office disputes team, manage complex cases, and drive continuous improvements in our procedures and processes. What you do:
Back Office Excellence: Review and respond to Avant Card inquiries and disputes, ensuring timely and compliant processing in line with regulatory requirements
Fraud Investigation: Investigate and verify suspicious transactions; lead monthly vendor calls to review fraud reports and adjust fraud parameters as necessary
Financial Reporting: Track and reconcile operating losses and recoveries accurately
Chargeback Management: Oversee the entire chargeback process, including representations, pre-arbitration, arbitration, and compliance filings
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all requests are properly documented, organized, and adhere to bank policies and procedures
Quality Assurance: Maintain high service standards to guarantee a positive customer experience that aligns with the bank's policies
Process Improvement: Recommend and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and expedite processing times
Team Support: Cross-train and provide backup support to consumer and business credit card teams as needed
Procedure Documentation: Update and document department procedures in response to regulatory or bank policy changes
Audit Participation: Support annual and periodic audits as required
Why you're a fit;
Expertise: In-depth knowledge of credit card dispute processing regulations and requirements
Skill Set: Strong written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, analytical, adept at time management, and interpersonal skills
Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on detail and accuracy
Self-Motivation: Ability to prioritize tasks and independently manage daily responsibilities
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal consumer credit and lending regulations
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or comparable experience
Minimum of 3+ years' experience in dispute processing and banking is strongly preferred.
Leadership experience is highly desired.
Proficient in Microsoft excel
SQL & object oriented coding experience highly preferred
