📍 About the Role 📍
As a Senior Designer at Aug X Labs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual and interactive aspects of Augie. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering a user experience that is not only visually appealing but also intuitive and efficient. Collaborating closely with the Product and Engineering teams, you will drive the design of new features, refine existing ones, and ensure that Augie continues to stand out in a competitive market as a smart, innovative, and user-friendly platform.
📍 Key Responsibilities 📍
Emphasis on the product design of our products including Augie, our AI-enabled video creation storytelling tool, and other experimental products. Marketing materials including our website to ensure brand consistency and other outward communication as necessary. Leading our junior designer with an emphasis on coaching and mentoring.
Collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams, working with the Marketing team for brand consistency, and eventual growth into the Head of Design as August Labs as we grow.
Lead the design of Interaction and Visual Design for Augie and surrounding marketing materials, ensuring a cohesive, engaging, and intuitive user experience across all platforms.
Collaborate with Product Management to understand user needs and translate them into innovative design solutions.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for new features and enhancements.
Conduct Generative and Evaluative User Research to gather feedback and iterate and improve designs. Conduct Usability Tests to reveal problems and ensure ease of use.
Stay current on the rapidly changing tech landscape and latest trends in design to keep Augie at the cutting edge of video creation and editing platforms.
Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all user touchpoints.
Mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
📍 Qualifications 📍
A minimum of 7 years of experience in User Experience or Product Design, with a portfolio that showcases a deep understanding of design principles and user-centered design practices.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Webflow, or Adobe Creative Suite, etc., with a strong understanding of the hand-off between Design and Engineering. Leverage and build upon the existing Design System. Video editing and animation tools experience is a plus.
Experience with video editing and animation tools is a plus.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
A passion for innovation and a constant drive to stay ahead of the curve in the evolving landscape of digital design.
