As the Learning & Development Manager, Employee Development, you will be key in designing, implementing, and facilitating programs that enhance our workforce's skills to meet business needs. We're seeking a strategic thinker who excels in execution and is passionate about employee development.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing and facilitating employee development programs throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, all-staff development, peer-to-peer learning, and team development. Additionally, you will design and manage our skills-first learning strategy and our learning technology strategy.

You will report into the Director, Talent Management & Learning and will work hybrid from our New York City office.

You'll Get To…

  • Develop an employee development strategy and roadmap aligned with organizational goals and individual career paths.
  • Develop a learning systems strategy and manage the learning technology stack (including LXP, LMS)
  • Improve the design, delivery, engagement and measurement of our learning experiences by designing strategies on how best to leverage our learning technology.
  • Adopt a skills-first learning approach to program design.
  • Identify, curate, and deliver a diverse range of learning opportunities based on our priorities and findings from skills gap analysis.
  • Audit and iterate our current development@ programs including onboarding and build a roadmap for the full development lifecycle of an employees at Squarespace.
  • Establish and promote a culture of knowledge sharing through building mentorship and peer-to-peer learning programs.
  • Work with department heads, team leaders, and people partners to assess and address team development needs with targeted interventions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of development programs using feedback, performance metrics, and ongoing assessment.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with external learning providers. Negotiate contracts and oversee budgeting for all employee development programs.

Who We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience working in Learning & Development
  • 3+ years experience leading employee development programs.
  • 3+ year of management experience
  • Strategic vision and foresight in L&D
  • Expertise in L&D program design and delivery. Expert facilitation skills required.
  • Excellent project management and execution skills.
  • Motivated to create custom and innovative programs along with executing on the daily administrative tasks
  • Expertise in adult learning principles, learning methods (ADDIE) and instructional design.
  • Relevant L&D/HR Certifications (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP, PMP, Insights Discovery, EQi, Intercultural Development Inventory, Coaching Certification (ICF) ).
  • Proficient in multiple types of learning/HR systems and tools (Workday, LXP, LMS)

Cash Compensation Range: $148,500 - $239,200 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
