Squarespace is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager for our Finance Products team. As the lead of Finance Products, you'll work directly with our Finance teams (Accounting, FP&A, Taxation, and Analysts). The Finance Products team helps the company understand and report on revenue, subscriber trends, and other key performance indicators for the business. The data sets, reports, and tools that you build will be involved in crucial, company-level decisions for years to come. You'll work on a team where constant learning and team-wide knowledge sharing is a core part of our culture.

This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week. You will report to the Engineering Director, Revenue Systems.

You'll Get To…

  • Build and maintain financial data processing services for our finance team including our revenue recognition system, financial data warehouse, and reporting solutions
  • Support continuous improvement of our system, tests, and data quality indicators
  • Influence our technical decisions
  • Keep yourself informed with technologies
  • Encourage the technical growth of your team
  • Lead other engineers and collaborate to deliver customer-focused experiences
  • Have regular 1-1 with team members
  • Take an active role in mentoring team members

Who We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of experience leading a team of at least 3-5 engineers
  • You are experienced with data: modeling, storage, security, and retrieval
  • You have experience working with dynamic programming languages, relational databases, and distributed systems. Our platform is ever-evolving, but currently is a combination of Postgres, Kafka, Airflow, Spark, Kubernetes and Python
  • Experience with Google Cloud.
  • Experience building software for accounting or corporate finance, including revenue recognition and accounting systems.

Cash Compensation Range: $153,500 - $247,250 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
