At Squarespace we empower our product teams to solve hard problems – customer and business problems – in ways that our customers love, yet work for our business. As a Product Manager, you will contribute to your product team with a knowledge of business constraints, an understanding of our users, and awareness of product trends.

The Online Stores team develops and scales the services, products, and frameworks essential for delivering the best selling experience to all Squarespace customers. Additionally, the team supports key components of our sales functionality, including proposals, deposits, and contracts. They also design user experiences that guide users through the process of collecting payments, invoicing consistently, and effectively showcasing their services to clients.

As a leader on this product team, you will create a vision and tactical roadmap that reduces the effort our customers need to gain customers and grow their business.

This is a hybrid role working from our New York City office 2-3 days per week. You will report to a Product Director.

You'll Get To...

  • Guide product development—from conception to launch—with consideration for your specific team, adjacent teams, and the broader SQSP ecosystem
  • Be a single mutually supporting-force with your partners in design, engineering, UX research, and product analytics
  • Partner with marketing to launch new products, with customer operations to develop excellent support for merchants, and with analytics to monitor engagement and evaluate product success
  • Independently shape your team's goals and vision given a strategic direction, and determine the methods and procedures to manage new assignments
  • Work with other PMs and data partners (analytics, data science, marketing) to seek out answers to data questions
  • Set OKRs for your teams with your engineering and design counterparts and contribute to the process of setting broader group goals
  • Influence and inform team/group strategy through passionate and well-reasoned presentation of ideas

Who We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of product management experience, managing software products from creation through launch and iteration
  • A background in ecommerce is preferred
  • A nuanced understanding of the methods of modern product discovery, product delivery, and user segmentation
  • Experience leading cross-team research studies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to align different teams around achieving business goals and outstanding user experiences
  • Experience with editors and payments systems
