Location: Remote in India, this role requires working in US overlapping hours.

Role Description:

We are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join the Forecasting team. You will be responsible for communicating and presenting our outbound and inbound forecasts to Operations stakeholders as well as monitoring merchant volume on a daily basis. You will help expand the scope of Shipbob’s forecasting program and provide coverage to a growing list of sites across different time zones. You will be responsible for providing accurate forecast estimates for all operational functions to aid in site labor planning. This role reports to Senior Manager, Supply Chain Forecasting.

What you’ll do:

  • Present weekly forecasting numbers to site stakeholders and Regional Directors, communicating key merchant volume deviations, promotional events, and new merchant arrivals to ensure all sites have accurate predictions for labor planning.
  • Alert Operations and Merchant Success teams to merchants with large shifts in daily order volumes; monitor merchant’s social media accounts and work with the Merchant Success team for sales and promotions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain operational reports and dashboards using SQL, Python, and BI tools, ensuring accurate, timely, and well-documented reporting within the supply chain forecasting catalogue.
  • Partner with the Implementation teams to translate new merchant expectations into structured data inputs and forecast assumptions, delivering reliable forecast outputs to operators through robust reporting layers.
  • Liaise with the Implementation team on new merchant expectations and provide accurate forecast numbers to operators.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on operational data to identify issues or uncover new opportunities for reporting and process improvement.
  • Provide support in running and maintaining the forecasting model.
  • Share knowledge with other teams, partner sites and stakeholders on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 1-2 years experience with e-commerce fulfillment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Excel preferred.
  • Intermediate Knowledge of PowerBI and Python.
  • Willingness to learn above technologies and demand forecasting.
  • Qualitative and quantitative research skills and creative problem solving required.
  • Established ability to proactively work with and engage with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Hard working with a focus on learning and passionate about helping small businesses compete online.
  • Ability to work in challenging situations and remain focused.
