Role Description:
ShipBob is hiring a Go-To-Market Engineer (GTM Engineer) to build and operationalize the technical systems that power our go-to-market execution. This role is a hybrid of project manager + hands-on builder: you will own GTM Engineering initiatives end-to-end, from conception through delivery and iteration.
You’ll use Clay as the primary engine to build and operationalize GTM initiatives, and you’ll work deeply across Salesforce, Gong, Vector, 6sense, and other GTM data and execution systems. You’ll also stay updated on market trends and best practices, serving as a thought leader for AI optimization internally. This role reports to the Director, Revenue Strategy & Operations.
What You’ll Do:
Own GTM Engineering initiatives from conception to delivery
- Identify, scope, and prioritize GTM Engineering opportunities with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps leadership.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and delivery plans.
- Run GTM Engineering like product releases: design, build, QA, launch, measure, iterate.
Build scalable automations and workflows across the GTM stack
- Build and maintain Clay workflows for enrichment, routing, segmentation, scoring, and trigger-based actions.
- Automate manual tasks that slow down revenue teams (research, list building, enrichment, lead management, CRM hygiene).
- Implement workflow orchestration across systems (Salesforce + intent tools + conversation intelligence + engagement tools).
Create and operationalize an intent/signals engine
- Combine multiple signal sources into composite scoring models and actionable triggers (fit + intent + engagement + timing).
- Design automation logic that avoids “single-signal spam” and instead prioritizes high-quality, high-confidence actions.
- Improve speed-to-lead and account prioritization through reliable signal-based orchestration.
Oversee cross-functional execution (and potentially people/vendors)
- Coordinate stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Enablement, and Data/Engineering.
- Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
- Potentially manage junior GTM Engineers and/or third-party partners with clear delivery standards.
Example Projects You’ll Own
- Inbound lead automation: lead capture → enrichment → routing → scoring → SLA-based follow-up triggers.
- Intent signals engine: combining 6sense, Vector, web activity, and engagement signals into a composite “heat score” and workflow triggers.
- Workflow-based enablement: auto-generating account context, call prep insights, and task prompts for sellers.
- Insight automation and orchestration: use Gong insights to auto-fill Salesforce fields, orchestrate distribution of key insights via triggers/alerts, score sales process. excellence, and generate actionable insights at scale.
What Success Looks Like:
- Meaningful reduction in manual research/admin time for BDRs/AEs through automation.
- Improved speed-to-lead and higher conversion rates driven by better routing, scoring, and enrichment.
- Higher-quality CRM data (completeness, accuracy) and more trustworthy reporting
- A repeatable system for shipping GTM workflows with measurable impact and iteration cadence.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 4–8+ years of experience in GTM systems, RevOps/Sales Ops/Marketing Ops, growth operations, automation engineering, or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to build automations and integrations across a GTM tech stack (CRM + enrichment + intent + engagement + analytics).
- Solid hands-on experience with Salesforce (data model awareness, workflow automation patterns, QA, hygiene practices).
- Experience building and operationalizing Clay workflows (or equivalent enrichment/orchestration tools).
- Excellent technical fluency: APIs/webhooks, data flows, automation logic, troubleshooting, and systems thinking.
- Sound project management skills: planning, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and execution.
- Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience with Gong, 6sense, Vector, and modern intent/data tooling ecosystems.
- Experience building scoring models, signal engines, and lifecycle automation across lead/account objects.
- Familiarity with data warehouse/analytics concepts and how GTM data is modeled for reporting and decision-making.
- Prior experience managing junior team members and/or vendors/consultancies.

- Medical, Dental, Vision & Basic Life Insurance
- Paid Maternity/Parental Leave Program
- Paid Holidays & Flexible Time Off Program
- Paid Sick Leave
- Wellness Days (1 day/quarter)
