Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Injection Molding Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Autodesk Moldflow to optimize plastic part and mold designs and enhance the injection molding process. Your work will be pivotal in shortening development cycles, improving product quality, and reducing manufacturing costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced injection molding simulations using Autodesk Moldflow (Flow, Pack, Cool, Warp).

• Analyze simulation results and provide actionable recommendations to design, tooling, and processing teams.

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of plastic parts.

• Assist in troubleshooting molding issues using simulation tools and engineering principles.

• Support the design of gates, runners, cooling systems, and other key tooling features.

• Prepare clear and concise technical reports and present findings to internal stakeholders and external clients.

• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in injection molding materials, technologies, and simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience using Autodesk Moldflow for simulation and analysis.

• Hands-on experience with injection molding processes and/or tooling is a strong plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Autodesk Moldflow Insight (Flow, Pack, Cool, Warp).

• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.

• Solid understanding of thermoplastic materials and their behavior during molding.

• Familiarity with injection molding machine operations and tooling design fundamentals (gates, runners, cooling systems, etc.).

• Background in mechanical engineering concepts such as stress analysis, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information.

• Team player with a collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
