Senior Product Manager - PayLater (Fixed Term)
Product · Full-time
Stockholm, Sweden · London, UK
We’ve signed up to an ambitious journey. Join us!
As Arrive, we guide customers and communities towards brighter futures and more livable cities, it isn’t a challenge just anyone could take on. Luckily, we have something to help us make it happen. Our people and our values. We Arrive Curious, Focused and Together. Just as our entire brand is inspired by the North Star, the shining light leading travelers to their destinations since time began, our values guide us. They help us be at our best. For our customers. For the cities and communities we serve. For ourselves. As a global team, we are transforming urban mobility. Let’s grow better, together.
About the Role
PayLater is Arrive's post-pay billing product. The infrastructure that lets drivers and business customers receive consolidated invoices after parking sessions, settle balances via Direct Debit, and integrate billing data into their ERP and finance systems. It handles millions of recurring and usage-based transactions across Europe and the US, and sits at the intersection of regulatory compliance, B2B commercial relationships, and long-term platform architecture.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who can operate at three distinct levels simultaneously: as the organisation's go-to expert on PayLater; as the owner of a product that is actively evolving to meet new compliance requirements and migration pressures; and as the strategic thinker shaping what deferred payment experiences should look like in the years ahead.
This is not a role where you'll spend your time purely on roadmap strategy. There will be days when a customer care team needs help understanding an invoicing edge case, and days when you're defining the long-term architecture of how B2B billing should work across several European markets. If that breadth energises rather than frustrates you, read on.
What You'll Own
1. Internal Expert & Point of Contact
PayLater touches finance, legal, market operations, and customer care across multiple countries. You will be the person those teams turn to when they have a question the product can answer — or when the product is creating a problem they need solved.
Serve as the central product contact for PayLater across the organisation — from customer care escalations to finance and legal queries
Maintain clear, accessible documentation of how the product works and why it works that way
Build strong relationships with local market teams so that their operational realities inform your decisions, not just your roadmap
Represent PayLater in cross-domain discussions with Payments, Platform, and Core teams
2. Compliance, Migrations & Product Evolution
PayLater operates in a regulatory environment that is actively shifting. The EU's VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) directive and EN 16931 e-invoicing standards are driving structural changes to how B2B invoices are issued, transmitted, and validated in EU. You will own Arrive's response to this.
Lead the product response to EU e-invoicing mandates — including ViDA and EN 16931 — across multiple markets and formats (XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, Factur-X, PEPPOL)
Own the migration of legacy billing and payment flows to modern, compliant infrastructure
Maintain a product that is scalable, automated, and ahead of compliance deadlines — not reactive to them
Balance SEPA Direct Debit mandate lifecycle management with invoicing compliance across B2B and consumer segments
Represent the product in architectural discussions and own decisions about system evolution
3. Long-Term Product Strategy
Beyond keeping the lights on and the auditors happy, PayLater needs a strategic owner who can define where deferred payment experiences are heading — for individual drivers, corporate fleets, and the business customers who depend on reliable, structured billing.
Drive the long-term roadmap for PayLater and B2B billing, balancing operational efficiency, technical resilience, and commercial growth
Lead product discovery to validate that we are solving the right problems — both for existing customers and for the markets and segments we have not yet entered
Define and apply MVP/MLP thinking to expand billing and payment capabilities into new markets
Set clear KPIs and product health metrics; use them to make and communicate prioritisation decisions
Own the retirement or consolidation of legacy flows where the evidence supports it
You'll Thrive Here If You…
Have direct experience with B2B billing infrastructure - invoicing flows, mandate lifecycle management, or e-invoicing compliance, not just adjacent fintech experience
Understand SEPA Direct Debit at a product level: mandate creation, amendment, cancellation, failure handling, and what that means for the customer experience
Are familiar with EU e-invoicing requirements - the ViDA directive, EN 16931, and the market-specific formats and timelines rolling out across Germany, France, and the Netherlands
Are comfortable operating across the full spectrum from operational support to strategic vision - and don't see the former as beneath you
Can build trusted relationships with finance, legal, and compliance stakeholders, and translate regulatory requirements into clear product decisions
Have worked in multi-market environments and understand that the right solution for one country is not always the right solution for another
Know how to run discovery - not just gather requirements and can tell the difference between a problem worth solving and one that looks urgent but isn't
Communicate clearly and create clarity from complexity, for engineers, for executives, and for the customer care agent who just needs a straight answer
Key Qualifications
5+ years in product management, with a demonstrable focus on payments, billing, or financial infrastructure, B2B billing experience is strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with e-invoicing compliance, SEPA Direct Debit, or recurring billing infrastructure in EU markets
Proven ability to own a product end-to-end: from discovery and strategy through to delivery, iteration, and stakeholder alignment
Strong analytical skills, you define and track the metrics that matter, and use data to justify trade-offs
Experience working across multiple European markets and navigating regulatory environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
