The Role
This role sits within the Automotive & Data business unit, reporting directly to the Head of Customer Success. As our Technical Account Manager, you will serve as the trusted technical advisor for our automotive and enterprise customers, acting as the primary point of contact for North American accounts while supporting the wider global client base. This position offers a unique balance of technical execution, client relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration. You will drive the end-to-end client onboarding lifecycle—from pre-sales engineering support and proof-of-concept evaluations to contract delivery and long-term project management. Working closely with sales leads (such as our US Sales Lead) and internal engineering teams, you will have a massive opportunity to directly influence the product feature roadmap and reshape urban mobility.
How to make an impact
Act as the primary, go-to technical partner for our automotive and enterprise customers, ensuring high-quality support and consultative problem-solving.
Manage the end-to-end customer onboarding lifecycle, including evaluations, proof of concepts, and full commercial implementations.
Serve as a Tier-3 technical escalation point, triaging complex client tickets, investigating web logs, and coordinating with engineering and global partners to resolve root issues.
Partner with the Business Development team during pre-sales phases to deliver confident technical presentations and act as the subject matter expert on our API and data solutions.
Analyze, document, and champion customer technical requirements to guide our internal product roadmap.
Proactively monitor data delivery, investigate failure patterns, and leverage automation/scripting to continuously improve operational efficiency.
About you
You are an inquisitive, analytically minded problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of client relationship management and technical triage. You don't just pass issues along; you love to dig deep into the details, look at logs, and find the root cause of complex challenges. You excel at translating intricate technical logic into clear, understandable concepts for both developers and business stakeholders. With a collaborative and growth-oriented mindset, you are comfortable operating autonomously as the dedicated technical account specialist in North America, while partnering seamlessly with a global team across multiple time zones.
Your background
3+ years of experience in technical account management, sales engineering, or a technical client-facing consulting role, ideally within the automotive industry, connected car space, or payment services sectors.
Strong proficiency with web data delivery mechanisms, including a practical understanding of APIs, latency, and tools like Postman to triage errors.
Analytically driven with experience writing SQL queries to extract data, and utilizing Excel, GSheets, or Python to process and interpret information.
Experience or familiarity with connected vehicle services, mapping/navigation, or payment flows; prior exposure to the Google Automotive Services (GAS) platform is highly advantageous.
Comfortable utilizing modern tools and scripting (such as AI assistants or Google Apps Script) to optimize tasks and automate client-side integration checks.
Exceptional communication and project management skills, with the flexibility to handle multiple client priorities and occasionally travel for key customer sites or industry exhibitions.
This role is based in Atlanta or Detroit
