The Role

We are seeking an experienced mid-to-senior backend engineer with a strong background in Java/Kotlin to join our Hub team.

The candidate will play a crucial role in creating the going-forward solution to all of the Arrive integrations to and from third-party providers and help in driving our internal integration of these systems closer to reality while allowing our customers to enjoy an easier parking experience.

About you

• Collaborate with teams in different areas of the business to understand the complex relationship between our systems and third-party software.

• Understand the requirements for the integration and data elements from those areas

• Acquire and document every aspect of the different areas to understand the solution at hand

• Develop and implement the new communication between the two areas and ensure the correct communication of all the necessary data

• Engage with internal and external technical and non-technical personnel to ensure delivery of the requirements for an integration

• Understand and practice all of the Engineering tenets and best practices of Arrive and ensure new team members are coached properly.

Your background

• You have solid Java or Kotlin knowledge, experience with Spring framework and microservice best practices

• You have expertise in microservice architecture, API design, and distributed high-volume systems.

• You have strong principles in writing clean, secure, and maintainable code that is readable and testable.

• You are experienced with cloud systems (AWS) and relational databases.

• You are familiar with real-time, asynchronous systems, and highly available infrastructure.

• Experience with hardware and the parking industry is a plus, but not required
